It is with great pride that I introduce myself as the Principal of Livingstone Academy Bournemouth. As an Aspirations Academy, our Guiding Principles of Self-worth, Engagement and Purpose are at the heart of everything we do and every decision we make. Here, we empower each individual student with the knowledge, skills and character they need to play an active and successful role in an ever-changing world. We deliver an innovative, authentic and engaging curriculum, in which every student can thrive.

I am committed to creating a positive learning environment where all our students can excel academically, socially, and emotionally.  I believe in providing high-quality education to all students, regardless of their level, in every subject, and at all times. My goal is for all our students to feel secure and confident, allowing every student to achieve their highest standards and goals. 

I am incredibly passionate about the concept of ‘applied learning’ and how it best prepares you for the brightest possible future ahead. I will endeavour to do all I can to ensure you experience the powers of self-worth, engagement and purpose across the curriculum to help you maximise your potential at LAB.

I lead on Teaching and Learning at LAB. It is a privilege to work with staff and pupils to ensure that our high expectations and innovative vision for education is lived and breathed in every classroom. I am Head of Da Vinci House and endeavour to create a sense of belonging within our community in order to empower all children to fulfil their purpose.

As Assistant Principal for Behaviour and Attitudes, my role is to ensure that all students have a positive and enjoyable experience in school and understand the importance of being an active member of our school community. I’m also Head of Attenborough House, and will be encouraging all members of our Academy, student and adult, to engage with the house system.

As Assistant Principal for Inclusion, my role ensures that all pupils have access to an education which will enable them to flourish and be the very best version of themselves, within our inclusive school community. I work with my colleagues to ensure all pupils have the appropriate learning tools and resources to reach their full potential and embody our guiding principles.

Children are at the heart of everything we do here at LAB. We have built an outstanding team of teachers in Early Years and Key Stage 1 and I am proud to lead such an outstanding part of the academy. I want all pupils to share with us their hopes and dreams, allowing us to support them in fulfilling these ambitions and we are committed to creating a culture whereby our pupils will flourish academically, creatively, physically and morally.
