Key Stage 3
At Livingstone Academy Bournemouth, we have utilised online platforms in order to deliver home learning which is bespoke to the needs of each learner. These platforms are:
- Sparx Reader (Literacy)
- Sparx Maths (Numeracy)
- Tassomai (for English and Science)
Pupils will be provided with logins for these platforms and for each of the platforms and there are also useful methods for parents to engage in the process.
We estimate that, per week, pupils will need to complete approximately:
- Reading – 30 minutes (3 x session of 10 minutes)
- Maths – 60 minutes (3 x sessions of 20 minutes)
- English – 60 minutes (3 x sessions of 20 minutes)
- Science – 60 minutes (3 x sessions of 20 minutes)
All home learning tasks will be set on Monday morning and the due date will be the following Monday morning. Pupils can choose when to complete their home learning, but we have suggested the following home learning timetable to help with balance and workload:
